Downward Facing Dog / Mountain Pose

Downward Facing Dog: strengthens nerves and muscles in the arms and legs. Tones spinal nerves. Stimulates circulation, especially in the upper spine. I didn’t notice the motorbike until I watched the video... stay focused on your practice 😉. Cameraman ‘on notice’ for continually cutting my head out of the shot 🙄😂. Have a great day 🧘‍♀️

Creating Space

Day 5 - extending our practice from mentally as well as physically ‘arriving’. Being present in our now, in our yoga. Stretching the tissues, releasing the tension, creating space in the joints and a sense of calm in the mind. Add this asana /movement on to your growing sequence... we’ll done! You’re developing your own yoga 🧘‍♀️

Grounding Work

Another glorious day! Another simple practice to add on to the routine we are building. Be present. Focus on your breath. Start with 5 minutes a day ... you’ll feel SO good you’ll happily choose to include your own yoga practice in every day. Enjoy

Stretch

Good morning everyone 🤗. Another glorious day! We all had our busy daily or life routines that left us little to no time for the things we imagined we’d do “if only we had more time”. Well here’s our opportunity to create new routines, to design healthier and happier lifestyles than perhaps we thought possible. I’m loving having the time to create these small recordings for you - they’re not professional or perfect - but I’m so pleased to be able to gift you some of the joy I’ve had in my life so far ... and hope it creates some in yours xx . Breathe

Day 2 of our practice building. Notice the word “practice” - meaning systematic training by multiple repetitions. We can all start right now, with exactly what we have available to us. It’s simply a choice, a decision you can make to put your own well-being, and therefore all those you interact with, a priority in your life. Maybe this world situation will be the catalyst for more to realise what’s truly important and where placing their energy will be most beneficial. Go well. 🧘‍♀️

Begin...

Hey everybody 🤗. Well I do feel extremely happy to now be based in Raglan. Challenging times these! Placing yourself in a positive environment is ideal. If that’s not entirely possible for you right now, then a positive outlook will really help. Yoga - Your Own Great Awareness - is a great place to start, or maintain, a balanced perspective. I’m going to post short, under 5 minute, clips with some tips and practices that I know will help lift your spirit. (And yes I know I look a little fierce 😂... I’ll work on that!) 🧘‍♀️

NEW BEGINNINGS

Saturday 13th April 2019 sees the end of nearly 10 years of teaching Community Classes of Yoga and Yogalates in Auckland - for now! I am away for 3 months and on my return although I know there will be new offerings from me, they are still in the planning stages. Stayed tuned.
